World’s First Ambigram Generator

THE ART OF AMBIGRAMS or INVERSIONS

Ambigram.com stated that the first AMBIGRAM generator in the world online born in 1996. It says still free until today to use online on their website generator. Other Ambigram generator have cost to flip those words you may like to upgrade its form or stylish the way want. Although interesting to know that INVERSIONS was born from an independent artist Scott Kim in 1975. It was Douglas Hofstadter who first coined the word "ambigram" as the generic word for "inversions".

What is Ambigram?

UsingEnglish.com definition:
"An ambigram is a word that can be read from different angles, like or MOW or NOON that can be turned through 180 degrees and still be read as the same words."

John Langdon has an interesting definition. He's an American graphic artist most known for his work developing ambigrams according to DesignInterviews.com
"An ambigram is a word (or name) that can be read with equal ease from more than one vantage point. To me, a logo that has two symmetrical letters or a graphic image that looks the same from more than one vantage point have ambigrammatic qualities, but are not ambigrams, per se. (personal and hair splitting, I know…) Further, though, I think that an ambigram must be readable without an accompanying typeset version of the word, and the letters must not be tortured in complete disregard for their heritage. An image that is symmetrical, but is not attractive or readable, is not, in my opinion, an ambigram."
